This is a horse I'm drawing. I guess technically it should be a scrap since it's unfinished. I posted it to get some opinions on what I should do for the background. Solid black paper? Subtle lines to suggest a landscape? Nothing at all? Mountains and clouds? Suggestions welcome.

Note: I'm waiting to drawing one of the feet until I know exactly what the horse is stepping on.

beautiful drawing. I'd suggest doing a dark background - the contrast would looking stunning since its a light colored horse. can't wait to see it finished!
Thanks for the advice. :)

Holy crap the horses on your page kick ass! :XD:
i would suggest making the horse running along a beach, maybe splashing in the ocean. :D

Live.
Beautiful drawing :)
O.o Impressive. You could put a stick in it and it'd be a carousel horse.

There is a theory that states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre. There is another which states that this has already happened.
Oh.. I would like to see the final product when you finish it.

And maybe you already are working on it, but I'll still mention that I agree with the idea of a dark (perhaps totally black) background. Either that, or something very light and discreet. The horse itself is amazing, and should not be "disturbed" by a background containing too much =)

Actually, I finished it about a month ago and then never posted it. Thanks for the advice anyway though! I put the horse running in the grass with a simple black background.
